

Select the shape tool and draw a rectangle.Hold down command and press D> to repeat action.Hold down alt key > drag the shape horizontally> there should now be 2 identical shapes in a row.Shape modes> click top second from left icon > minus front which will cut out the text.Hold shift> click on the large shape so everything is selected.Selection tool > move text onto the shape.> click and drag to draw a box around the text.Draw a circle bigger than the current one using the tool.Use the fill/stroke make the circle no fill/ stroke.Shape tool > draw a shape> remember to hold shift.Task 5 Typing on a shape and using it to cut out of a shape


Using the selection tool move the smaller shape on top of the large shape.Using the fill/ stroke make the smaller shape No stroke/No fill.Draw a smaller shape using the same tool.Draw a large solid shape (no outline) using the shape tool.Hold shift and click on the top left icon to unite the shapes.Use the Selection tool move one shape so it over laps the other.Draw any 2 shapes using the Shape tool.Task 2- Joining solid shapes ( making a composite shape) To change the size of the shape, use the selection tool, click on the shape and drag the corner, hold shift key.

Experiment by drawing at least one of each of the following shapes, varying the colour and size.Using the fill/stroke make your rectangle a solid fill with no stroke.Select the Shape tool and draw a rectangle.
